Well, here’s the first day of my own personal challenge! I promised myself to do the daily challenges on SCS, and today’s challenge is Try a New Techique. The challenge today is to create a card using any shade of brown and any shade of off-white. No other colors can be used.

What fun this was for me today! Love browns and what an excellent opportunity to do a little sponging, double stamping and a little rock and roll. I pulled out one of my favorite sets, Carte Postale, and some of my fave backgrounds and went to work. All the backgrounds were stamped in Creamy Caramel first, and then French Script was overstamped in Close to Cocoa. For the main image panel, I inked the medallion stamp in Creamy Caramel and then rock and rolled in Chocolate Chip. The scroll (for lack of a better name) was inked in Close to Cocoa and then rock and rolled in Chocolate Chip. All of the edges for all the panels, including the card base, was sponged in Chocolate Chip. The main panel is up on dimensionals to balance out the layers.

Chocolate Bonjour
