I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far and if you are Splitcoast Fan Club Members you are taking part in the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges! I’m hostessing one more challenge today and I have to say it’s one that I really love! Being the twisted sister that I am, I could not resist using this new set from My Favorite Things. Check it out – Back to School will be released on August 1st.

How’s That

I have one more card as a sample today. This one is for Susan’s (Rainy) Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. Using the technique that Rainy linked to, I went to work. Once I had the initial panel, stamped and embossed, I cut it into 1-1/4″ squares, layered those squares onto 1-3/8″ squares and then placed those onto a background panel. The bottom background panel uses the same technique as illustrated in the tutorial, but I did not finish the stamping in black or embossing. I used a sponge and moved the ink around to make a softer tone and let it go. The panel for the sentiment is made the same way, I just eliminated the darker purple ink. The fibers used are some I picked up at the Paula Best booth at Orlando Stampfest.
