Hello everyone! Well we’ve made it through the week. This is the last day for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges on Splitcoast and what a week it has been! I’ve so enjoyed looking at all the challenge cards, commenting and just chatting in the threads. Thank you Fan Club Members for making this week a fabulous one! I don’t think I’ve enjoyed anything as much as this – WOO HOO to you!

Yesterday I stamped one card and today I don’t know how much I’m gonna get done! I have a card that I’ve stamped out, now I just have to get my hiney into the studio to color it – we’ll see. I’m movin’ kinda slow today.

Anyhoo, I do want to share this card with you. I combined 3 challenges for this card, StamperSharon, Iris, Shel9999. It just seemed that all 3 of these went together and when I got the idea, it fell into place. I wanted the main image to resemble a packet of old postcards that were bundled together. I have a set of stamps from Crafty Secrets called French Mail that I have played with a few times, but never actually have made a card with. The mojo was with me today! The background panels for the stamping were sponged with Mellow Moss and Old Paper Distress ink to give an aged look and some color. All the stamping was done with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I covered some chipboard pieces with more scraps of the DP and then distress some of those edges. For the distressing, I used a pair of scissors, sanding block and then sponged color onto the edges. I’ve got to tell ya, but shhhhhh it’s a secret, I love to distress. There’s just something about it that soothes my bad self. Instead of actually scraping and sanding the edges of the designer paper, I sponged them with Old Paper Distress Ink.
