TGIF! It seems like this has been a very long week. So much has happened here, and most of it not stamping related. My goal today – spend as much time as possible n the studio! I have a few deadlines looming and the need to create is close to becoming a must.

I’ve had a few emails and messages about the stamp used on the card I’m going to show you today. I actually made this card a few weeks ago for a Splitcoast Sketch Challenge, and never got around to posting here. Anyhoo, about the stamp. While walking around Stampaway in Cincinnati, I was drawn to one particular booth – Picture Show. Their stamps were so unique and different – funny stamps, serious stamps, classic stamps – and they were small and unmounted. Perfect for someone who has maxed out storage space in their studio. It was the end of the day for me when I found this booth. Money was running low so I was only able to pick up a few stamps – some that I thought were absolutely hilarious with unlimited possibilities. When I checked out, I asked the husband of the owner if they had a website. Much to my dismay, NO! He said his wife just wasn’t interested in computers. So, the only way I know how to get these stamps – is to run across them at a stamping convention. If anyone has information that I am not privy too – please pass it along. I would love to have more of their stamps!

One of the stamps, is this little girl. She reminds me of Wednesday Adams but I really don’t think she has a name, just a number. Poor girl! The minute I saw her, I knew that she had many possibilities and saying EEK was one of them. So I did combine her up with the Eek sentiment from Fright Night by My Favorite Things. My aunt has requested a birthday card made with her – that is one of my projects today!

  6. Sherry,
When a card comes together like this it just ROCKS. I LOVE the way you combined stamps from so many different companies so very successfully. The black ink is so crisp, and your doodling just sets everything off so well. And, that punch of color! This is a fabulous “teaching” card for people who are really looking ;^)* Thanks so much for posting it here!

  10. What a great and comical card! Love that stamp. Wish they were available online too. I would so love to see the different things they have to offer? I wonder if they have a catalogue that we could order from?

  11. I got a catalog from Picture Show two years ago, after I had seen them at Stampaway. Their catalog is small (20 pages +cover), says $2. The address is:
    Picture show
    p.o. box 65440
    saint paul, mn 55165

  12. Too funny Sherry. I would love some of these too. Dang, wish they had a site now.

  13. That little *Wednesday* girl with her hair up to the heavens, reminds me of myself, on a hot and humid day, when I’m having a bad hair day ! haaaa ! Ya that is a drag not having a website to shop from. Geeesh Sherry. you could do some major business for them with just the posting of this great card ! haaa !

I’d LOVE to get a hold of that image/stamp, as it could be utilized in so many instances … I’d use it for one of those, “Having a bad day” card, or what about “Are you suffering from PMS?” HA HA HA

Love all your creations Sherry, and reading about your daily life …… but for this particular card and image, I just HAD to come out of lurking to let everyone know how disappointed I was when I realized I couldn’t get my hands on it. BOOOO HOOOOO
OK, back to lurkin’ … keep up the great Blog Sherry :))))
