Good morning! It’s that time of the week again, another Just Because We Wanna Blog Challenge. This week it’s Jeanne’s turn to pick the challenge. Pick up one of those stamps you just had to have, knock off the dust, and ink them up. We are going to use stamps that we haven’t used before. If you don’t have any new rubber that you’ve not used, then go find one that you haven’t used for a long time. Remember when you upload to Splitcoast to use keyword JBWW and to post a link to either blog!

I picked up so much new rubber at Stampfest Orlando that I haven’t begun to ink up even a third of it. It’s about time that I do though, so here’s what I’ve done! I picked one of the unmounted sheets (Murray & Ethel) from Rubbernecker stamps, cut the images apart and decided to make some cards. I’m still working on getting back to the basics, and still trying to get some simple, light on embellishment cards for my mother and aunt. Even though they both love Millie, I’m hoping that they like Ethel too! I haven’t made a Millie card since her farewell in the DD Gallery. Millie may have to come out of retirement next week!

Anyhoo, here’s another silly card with Ethel. I colored the image with Copic markers and made the polka dots on the background panel with a sponge dauber. The sentiment is raised on mounting tape.

Aerobic Ethel

Stamps: Murray & Ethel by Rubbernecker Stamps

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, SU Green Galore and Basic Black

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Green Galore

Accessories: Copic Ciao Markers, Ribbon, Mounting Tape, Sponge Dauber

I did get a second card finished last night — another Ethel card! Once again I colored the image with Copic Markers but used a background stamp from In the Background by Lizzie Anne Designs. I outlined the circles in the background and colored the polka dots on her bathing suit with a Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter Pen.

Flaunt It
