Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I’m looking out the window right now and our leaves are starting to change colors and how pretty it is! After such a dry and hot summer, I didn’t think we were going to see the leaves change. They’ve been falling for months, brown and dried up do the drought, but just beautiful now.

I got up early this morning, checked in on the Try a New Technique Challenge on Splitcoast, and then just couldn’t help myself – I fell back asleep on the couch. I’m feeling a little dizzy today – well okay, some of you will say I’m dizzy every day, but today is different. Today, I just ain’t right!

However, while I was taking that little nap, I did figure out how do the Japanese Stab Binding, which is the challenge today. When I first looked at it, I was at a complete loss, but when I woke up – I knew how do to it! Must have dreamed about it. Anyhoo, here’s my card for today’s challenge.

I picked up this cute set of ants at Stampaway in Cincinnati this year, and I’ve yet to ink them up. It sort of tickles me that this ant is having thankful thoughts. If I were an ant and had a big pumpkin, I would be thankful too! I colored the image using Copic Markers and then punched out the three different size circles. I sponged all the edges of the background paper, BasicGrey Mellow, and the circles with distress ink and drew the faux stitching lines.

Stamps: SU Thoroughly Thankful, Seasonal Inklings by G-Rated Rubberstamps

Paper: SU Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie, BasicGrey Mellow

Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Accessories: Copic Ciao Markers, Uchida Punches, Faber-Castell Pitt Artists Pen, Hole Punch, Sponge Dauber, Ribbon, Mounting Tape
