Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great week so far and is looking forward to the weekend. I have a community service project tomorrow afternoon for Sorority and am looking forward to participating. We are boxing up items to send to our Service Men in Iraq. Of course, I still need to shop for some items, but I can get that done in the morning. If anyone has any ideas other than the typical books, magazines, toiletry items, please post a comment and let me know. One thing they requested was Ramen Noodles – we were all quite surprised, but after thinking about it, it did make sense. So anyhoo, I would love to have some other suggestions.

Yesterday I was able to get a few cards stamped just for fun and with my luck, none of them fit the Splitcoast Challenge today. One almost did, but I added just a few too many embellishments. Today’s Limited Supply Challenge is one embellishment or designer paper only. It is to only have one or two stamps – one of them a heart, and have limited layers.

You all know how much I love the new Way to Go by Gina K. Designs. Well an idea hit me this morning and I just had to RUN with it! There are just way too many possibilities with this set. I stamped the toilet bowl image and then stamped a heart. Colored them both with Copic Markers, cut a small slit in the water and slid the heart in. The sentiment, You Make My Heart Overflow, was typed on the computer (my specialty tool of choice) – hehe I just kill myself sometimes! Oh the joys of being BAD!

  2. BAWHAHAAAAA!!! Too dang funny!

  3. Snort!!! That is too funny!
Did you think to put some hand-stamped cards into those boxes for the servicemen? I bet they don’t have anywhere to buy cards to send back home. Or anywhere to buy postage??

  4. My side hurts from laughing!! Great card!

I ordered this set just because of all the cool sayings that can go with it! You have inspired me…… I can’t wait for it to come so I can play!!!

  5. Sherry, these keep getting funnier and funnier – don’t stop!! I love the cards you make with this set! Also in your description – you said ‘I just had to RUN with it’ – there must be a card in that one too!!

  6. Love the card!!!

Some ideas for you to buy (I used to send about 8 care packages a week before the budget crunch):
-Pop Tarts (I had one unit of marines love them so much that I ended up sending a box of nothing but pop tarts-chocolate chip cookie dough was their favorite)
-Cracker Packages (the peanut butter sandwich or cheese sandwich type) or 100 calorie packs – they are small enough that the troops can take out on patrol with them for snacks.
-Vacuum packed chicken breast (already cooked)
-Hot chocolate packs during the winter and powders to flavor water (crystal light) during the summer

    Hope the ideas help.
    Thanks for the creative inspiration!

  7. You just kill me sometimes, too! This is so darn funny and cute at the same time. Gotta show my husband. He will love it.

  8. Oh my gosh! This is just PERFECT!!! I love it! What a great out-of-the-box idea!!!

    Hugs,

  10. cute, crack up card!

How about some packets of Kool-Aid to the mix of things?

  11. Girl you crack me up! This is great!

  12. My husbands cousin has just completed his 3rd Tour of Iraq. He said they love and hoard peanut butter and baby wipes. I guess I can understand both right– rich and creamy and clean.

  13. love this card. We did a supply collection for the troops a few years ago. they need bug repellent and sunblock. also pens and paper were big ones to write letters home. hope this helps!

  14. Sassy Marie beat me to it with theCrystal light. I’d get the packs of small envelopes. Perfect size for a canteen of water. Also, one thing our troops don’t need is stamps! They get postage for free!

  15. ROTFLMBO!!!! 😆 OMG! Sherry you are too funny and having way too much fun with this set. Oh, one suggestion is individual coffee packets, hot choc packets, gum, hard candy, etc. We sent a bunch of Christmas boxes to my nephew a few years ago.

  16. Too Funny Sherry! {grin} You are one creative woman when it comes to that toilet bowl set by GinaK. Love the card !*!

  17. *giggle* that is too funny!
