So, what did you do last night? It’s been many years since I’ve partied on New Year’s Eve. We started staying in when the girls were small, let them have friends spend the night, and just enjoyed being home. I’ve grown so accustomed to that now, I don’t want to get out and fight the people. So guess what I did last night – I stamped!!!! I sure did and I was on a roll. I think I finished 8 cards yesterday and what fun I had. I stamped with no interruptions and ideas just kept coming to me. I can’t show them all to you right now, but you will be seeing most of them in the coming days!

Oh and by the way, for those of you who have been following my trials and tribulations of outgrowing my stamp room – WELL, I found out yesterday that my oldest daughter, Kate, will be moving within the next few weeks. She has worked a deal with her grammy (my mother), to live in the river house until she decides to sell it. Can you beat that! So guess what that means – I’m getting a bigger stamp room! Yep, uh huh, I’m moving to the basement! I’ll keep you posted on this one!

Anyhoo, back to my stamping. By the time I got around to getting online and chatting last night, the Splitcoast Color Challenge for today had been posted for well over 6 hours. guess I was in a stamping zone! At first I turned my nose up at the colors (Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise and Real Red). But ya’ll know what, now that I’ve finished my card, I’m so lovin’ Certainly Celery and Tempting Turquoise together!

I used one of my favorite images from Rubbernecker, the kitty in the laundry basket. How funny that I picked this image! I was doing laundry yesterday and Syd, the pup, kept sneaking into the laundry room and dragging out socks, towels, anything she thought I did not see! I laughed myself silly at that dog yesterday. Anyhoo, the image is colored with Copic Markers and the background paper I found is from a stack of paper that Mallory gave me for some reason or another. Probably my birthday or Mother’s Day. Instead of machine stitching, I decided to do a little faux stitching just for fun. I suppose I should say that I incorporated the real red into the laundry.
