I’m on such a roll today, that I decided to share one more card with you. The Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast is to use handwriting on the front of your card. My handwriting seems to have gotten sloppier over the years but I decided to give it a whirl anyway.

The lanterns were stamped in VersaMagic Red Brick and then highlighted with a Gold Spica Glitter Pen. The lanterns were then punched out with a square punch, and the edges were sponged in Black Soot Distress Ink. After the square image panels had been layered on black cardstock, a small hole was made for the cord and for the brads. The edges of the designer paper were also sponged with Black Soot Distress Ink. Gold cord was wrapped around the second panel and taped off on the back. I hand wrote the sentiment, Happy Birthday, inked the edges with Black Soot and then mounted on Basic Black. The sentiment is raised on mounting tape.

  1. Lovely! Love asian type cards, but don’t see too many. I love how the lamps look like they are actually hanging down.

  2. Very cute card. My handwriting can be a bit scary sometimes, but I think I’ll have to give this challenge a whirl.

  3. Fantastic!

  4. What a cool and unique card, Sherry. Love the layout.
