Have you ever done something stupid – I mean stupid? Something that made you hurt yourself? Well, I did last night. I got up in the middle of the night to change from flannel sleep pants to shorts (got a little warm) and was in the bathroom stumbling around in the dark. Stumble I did! The door was half open, and I fell forward. Can you see it coming, that edge of the door right at your face? Actually, it took me by surprise more than anything else. My forehead hit the door. Oh yeah – stunned! I actually wondered if maybe I shouldn’t sit up for a while and not go to sleep it hurt that bad. But, I was too tired for that. So back to bed I went and didn’t give it a second thought. I’ve had a little headache this morning, but not bad and actually forgot that I hit that door last night. DUH – CRS! Just a few minutes ago, I was talking to a friend on the phone, and reached up to rake my fingers through my hair. OUCH! I have got a goose egg in the middle of my forehead you wouldn’t believe. Okay, you can laugh now because I know I am! How could I be so darn stupid?

Enough of my babbling about how clumsy I really am. Let’s talk stamping! Last night I started working on a preview for the Hanna Stamp Release this coming Friday. I have become so taken with inchies, and can’t stop making them. Inchies have been around for a while, and in my search to find out how long, I did a Google Search. Let’s just say that I gave up on page 68 of the search. There are 77,500 results for inchies. Anyhoo, I have been incorporating them into my stamping as a great way to showcase a stamp set for a preview or sneak peek. Now I’m hooked. I worked on a series of cards last week that I’ll show you in the next week or so, and I see now what the rave is all about. The little buggers are addicting!

I started working on this card last night, coloring the full image of Hanna from the new Passport set and making inchies for some of the small images I wanted to showcase. Well, this morning when I saw the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge, the card changed course. Instead of a full Hanna now, you’ve got an inch of the image.

SC170

I stamped all the images and then colored them with Copic Markers. When I was done coloring and decided what part of the image I wanted to showcase, I cut them down to 1″ squares. Why didn’t I use my square punch you ask? Well because the darn thing broke – guess that means a trip to Hobby Lobby later. Oh my! I trimmed the sentiment down too, and sponged the edges of all the images with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The background paper is some new stuff I picked up at Archivers a few weeks ago. It’s by K&Company and is textured! Oh one last thing and I don’t know I keep forgetting this. I covered the windows and headlights of the taxi with Ranger Glossy Accents, AND I also forgot to put it in the product photo. Oh yeah – CRS!

  9. Glad to hear you’re ok. I was going to work one day and didn’t lift my foot high enough and tripped on the brick steps going in. Landed directly on my knee on the edge of the next step. It hurt SOOOO bad I thought I might pass out. Blood everywhere. I felt like an idiot. Big girl boo boo! Still have a scar.
