Smiley from millan.net Hello! Once again, I find myself running around in a confused state. I think – no I’ve come to the conclusion – that my studio needs to be reorganized and I don’t know where to begin. Things I need aren’t in reach and things I don’t use that much are on my work table. How could I have outgrown this space so soon? Lack of organization maybe? What I thought was going to work when I set it up, isn’t making the grade! Oh well, when I have some time . . . and ideas! Better yet, SHELLY WHEN CAN YOU GET HERE? (Shelly is a major organizer and from the looks of her stamp room, I need her to visit here!)

Anyhoo, today is the Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast. I LIKE this one – All Torn Up! Yeah – tearing paper! I haven’t done this in soooooo long. I tend to do my distressing with tools now instead of just tearing the paper. WOO HOO, I couldn’t wait to go play today!

I stamped the Haunted House in black pigment ink and then embossed with black EP. The inks were worked over the image and paper starting with the lightest color first. I tore the image out and then sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Once I had the colors for the image, I went to find DP and cardstock. I loved just the hint of purple remaining in the image panel and decided to pull it out with cardstock and ribbon. The background and sentiment panels were also torn out and inked with Vintage Photo – love that distressed, aged look! Of course, I had to add a twist and add some satin ribbon! Ah the sentiment – when I was looking through my sentiments, I remembered I had this one on a panel and just HAD to use it – Smiley from millan.net – after all, there is a witch flying in front of the moon!
