It’s been forever since I’ve done a challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  I couldn’t wait to get into the studio this morning and decided I would take part in today’s Color Challenge.  Because I’ve been away from my ink and stamps for a while, it took me a little while to get into the swings of things.  After a couple of hours I finally ended up with this card.

CC192

The ornament was embossed with Queen’s Gold EP, masked and then the branch was stamped.  I water colored the ornament with SU Pacific Point and Certainly Celery.  After trying to work on the layout and papers for what seemed like too long, it finally hit me that I had some BasicGrey Fruitcake that had the colors I needed for my background.  The background papers were sewn to panels of Pacific Point and then mounted on a card base of SU Basic Gray.

Smiley from millan.netGood morning!  Well, the show season for Rubbernecker is finally over and this wayward traveler is home, sitting on the couch with my coffee and morning paper . . .Smiley from millan.net
I had a great time in Albuquerque, and got to see some old friends, make some new ones and finally meet some blog/online friends! That’s always the best part of working the shows — meeting all of you!  Over the last few months I’ve been demonstrating alcohol inks, and once again I stumbled upon another technique that I’ll be sharing with you later in the week!

Of course, I didn’t get in until late in the afternoon yesterday and then was tied up during the evening.  No, no, no  . . .  not that kind of tied up!  Needless to say, I didn’t get any stamping done yesterday, but I can’t wait to get into the studio today.  I have so many ideas and projects that I need to get started working on . . . like losing these flabby arms that I recently noticed in someone’s picture of me.

I also realized that I have lost a day this week and instead of today being Monday, it’s Tuesday.  So that means that today is Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker! Smiley from millan.net All you have to do, is look for the clue on the Rubbernecker home page, and then place the stamp in your shopping cart.  Purchase only one rubber stamp, and that treasure is yours . . . free! To get all the deets, and to also find out which Designers have blog candy this week, please visit the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog.

I’m heading down to the studio, and with any luck, I’ll be back a little later with some stamping for you!  In the meantime, have a great day!
