Snowed In!

Happy Tuesday! I had some appointments yesterday and never made it into the studio. By the time I got in, I was totally exhausted and just chilled out on the couch. I can’t remember if I took a nap or not! Today we have sleet, ice and snow and it’s a perfect day to work in the studio. Who knows I might even get the Christmas decorations down today . . .

I thought it would be fun today to work with the CPS Sketch for this week. It’s their 100th sketch and they are celebrating big time! I also pulled out one of the stamps I picked up last fall while shopping in Brown County. It’s about time this stamp saw a little ink.

The image was water colored with Ranger Distress Reinkers and the edges of all the paper were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Stamps: Bird Image from Magenta
Paper: 7 Gypsies Nottinghill; SU River Rock; Canson Watercolor
Ink: Ranger Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Pine Needles, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Brushed Corduroy, Fired Brick Distress and Archival Coffee
Accessories: Tsukineko Sponge Dauber; Venture Foam Tape; Brads; Ribbon; Corner Rounder Punch; Paint Brush

Sherry - this is a beautiful card - I just love the colors and it is so versatile. This is such a fun sketch and can’t wait to start working on it (I’m running a little behind this week). Great job !!!

I just finished my card for this contest and went to check out the competition. Now that I see your card, I’m not sure there is any point in entering. This card is beautiful. Love the colors, the stamp, the papers….everything. Excellent job! Good luck!
