Smiley from millan.net Morning all!  I hope everyone had a terrific day yesterday.  I unpacked from my Dallas Adventure, sorted laundry and generally got caught up on things.

Just before I left for Dallas, Jessica Knutsen, owner and creator of There She Goes Clear Stamps, emailed me and asked if I would be the April Guest Designer for her.  Now typically when someone contacts me like this, the stamp set must be hilarious and one Her Royal Badness would love.  Jessica emailed me a photo of the Tastes Like Chicken set and I knew immediately that I had to work with it.

I’m sorry I missed the Blog Hop with the other girls on the team, but being in Dallas cut my time in preparing.  Anyhoo, here’s my first card from Tastes Like Chicken!

I water colored the possum with Ranger Distress Reinkers and then cut the image and panel behind it out with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  The sentiment tag is cut from Spellbinders Round Top Tag Shapeabilities.  All the edges were sponged with SU Basic Gray.  To attach the sentiment, I found an old black button in my stash and sewed it to the tag with DMC floss.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

  1. Okay Sherry – this is not a tasty thought at 6:20 in the morning before I’ve had breakfast. since I’m that age where my hormones make me have morning sickness – the thought of ‘possum in a skillet makes me want to hurl!!!! LOL!!!

Actually a very cute card though. Interesting use of the brads. I’m always so “balanced” (only in my art – in my mind I’m a little off-balance) that I would never have thought to place one side in a row and the other as a corner element. tfs.

  2. Okay, WAY too funny! Perfect stamps for Her Royal Badness! 🙂 Love the funky brad treatment and the papers you picked.
