Good Friday morning!   Smiley from millan.net   First things first.  The Rubbernecker Blog Stroll goes until noon today.  If you haven’t taken the stroll and celebrated with the Red-Hot Mommas you still have time!  It has been such a joy working with Kittie’s new releases, Kittie Kits “Cause a Scene” – Country Life!  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Country Life Scenes and seeing what the other Red-Hot Mommas have done with them.  Quite frankly, they have outdone themselves!  Way to go girls!! Smiley from millan.net

I was so busy yesterday behind the scenes, that I wasn’t going to stamp last night and just relax.  THEN, after dinner an amazing thing happened  . . . I had a brainstorm!  You don’t even have to ask, YES it hurt!

Before I tell you my idea, I will warn you  . . . Smiley from millan.net alert.

There I was lolling on the couch getting ready to watch Survivor when it hit me!  I could take the rooster from the Chicken Coop Scene and make a birthday card.  Not just any birthday card, but one that you could add a little humor too.  Are you ready?

KKitsRoosterHappyBirthday

Now here’s where it gets tricky . . . on the inside you could write:  Shake Your Tail Feathers, Strut your Stuff, You’re still Cock of the Walk, Cluck You, COCK-a-doodle-doo, You old Cock, Cluck Off  . . . well, I’m sure you get the idea!  Anything you can imagine will work!

Here’s what was used in the making of this card:

  • Stamps:  Kittie Kit Cause a Scene Chicken Coop SKU:KKCS S007 and Kittie Kit Cause a Scene Out Door Master SKU:KKCS M001; and Happy Birthday, USA Sentiment; all from Rubbernecker Stamps
  • Paper:  Prism Tawny Medium and Crabapple Dark; 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market; Strathmore Watercolor
  • Ink:  Ranger Archival Jet Black and Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Faded Jeans and Broken China Distress
  • Accessories:  Spellbinders Small and Large Deckled Edged Rectangles and Large Petite Oval Nestabilities; Ranger Glossy Accents; Venture Foam Tape, Tsukineko Sponge Dauber; Koi Water Brushes; May Arts Ribbon; Vintage Button, Brads

I suppose that’s all for today.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
