Well, it’s only taken me all day, but I finally finished a card. Actually, it’s probably not taken ALL day . . . Mr. Stodgy bought me a printer for the studio this afternoon and that had to be set up and installed, then more organizing needed to be done so the printer would fit.
While I was checking emails and blurfing this morning, I checked in on the Technique Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Today’s challenge is to make a hinged card. I’ve seen these hinged cards on a number of blogs and just had to play along.
This is the closed card
and then the open card.
This card may not have taken me so long, if I could have made up my mind about a few things. When I finished the card, I wasn’t satisfied with it. I ended up adding the brown ribbon along the bottom and then added layers to the cake. I stamped out and colored two more images, and but them down for the middle and bottom layers. This I like better!
