Today Rubbernecker Stamps releases 5 new sets!  To celebrate this release, we invite you to Blog Stroll along with the Rubbernecker Red-Hot Mommas.  The Stroll begins at the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog where you will find the guidelines on how to win one of the four sets being given away during this release.  If you haven’t started at the Rubbernecker Blog, you should go there as soon as possible. That’s where you’ll find the first clue to begin your Stroll and where the key words for the phrase actually starts.  I’ve noticed that some of you don’t start at the Rubbernecker Blog and then leave out part of the words in the phrase you submit.   Sorry y’all but I can’t count those in the drawing for prizes.

I’m very excited about these images and find that they are so versatile.  They can stand alone or be combined to make scenes, collages . . . really, anything you desire to make!  Remember this card?

WRINGLE FREE DISTRESS FINISHED CARD

I used the Butterfly and Flourish Inchies being released today, along with the large Flourish and Floral Silhouettes released earlier.  Pretty sneaky huh?

For today’s card I’m using the new Diva Inchies.  If you like shoes, purses or hats, you’re gonna LOVE this set!  There’s a little BAD humor in today’s card . . . . let’s see if you can put it all together!  Actually, let’s put it together with today’s Blog Stroll.  When you leave your comment to be considered for one of the 4 free stamp sets today, tell me what you would call this card.  I won’t tell you yet what I had in mind  . . . I want to know if you can see it and/or guess it.

DivaInchiesMaeWestMay28

This card actually started out as a card for this week’s WACKY WEDNESDAY Challenge, but then I had another brainstorm (yes, you know it hurt) and had to move on to that idea.  The images were stamped, die cut and embossed to be Inchies, and then they were placed on a layer of pink cardstock.  The pink layer was die cut with the Spellbinders rectangle that I die cut out the middle of the black cardstock.  It fit together beautifully and made its own frame.  The background panel was stamped with Rubbernecker’s new Flourish set.  I found the sentiment in among my Rubbernecker stamps, but because it was rather large for what I wanted, I generated it with the computer to fit my Spellbinders tag.

  • Stamps:  422 Diva Inchies and 463 Flourish Set from Rubbernecker Stamps
  • Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; SU Pink Pirouette and Basic Black
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; SU Pink Pirouette
  • Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Square and Long Classic/Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, and Tags 5 Shapeabilities; Copic Markers;  Ranger Matte Accents; Doodlebug Designs Lily White Jewels; May Arts Ribbon; Computer; Venture Foam Tape

The Blog Stroll ends with me and my clue in the phrase is:  Inchies Along!  I hope you’ve started at the Rubbernecker Blog, followed the instructions for the hop – visited all the other blogs, left comments, and have found all the phrase clues.

To win one of the newly released sets (or any of the other new releases since April 1), all you have to do is leave me a comment, and then email the phrase (with the correct subject line and your mailing address) that you found on the stroll to me at [email protected].   The Blog Stroll will end at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 28, and the winners will be announced on the Rubbernecker Blog!

I hope you enjoyed the stroll and thanks for stopping at the BAD Side for awhile.

    Gloria

  40. ok…well, my first thought was “night on the town” or “girls night out”. then, the mae west quote made me think of “…come up and see me sometime”.
but, i have a kind of deviant mind and my real choice would be…”oooh! my head hurts, my feet hurt and it’s a good thing i spritzed on that perfume, cause after drinking and dancing in heels all night, I STINK!!!” lol!

  41. Sherry, I think both of these cards are gorgeous. I think that you should call that card. Cougar’s Night Out! I know I’m bad!!!!LOL

    Nicole

  42. Love your cards. The shoes remind me of Girly Stuff and shopping and Girls get-togetheres…..the butterfly one reminds of the movie “Pan’s Laberinyth”. Nice work.

  43. Love your creativity!!

  44. “Kick off your shoes and relax.” You really captured the idea of a flower filled meadow with the colors you used on your first card. Thanks for doing all the inchie stamps.. everyone wants to do inchies, but there aren’t many teeny stamps for them.

    Swedie

  45. Oh Sherry! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first example that you show!!! That card just shouts out to me. Thanks for being such an inspiration for me.

This release is great – and the mommas did a fabulous job enticing me!
Thanks for all the inspiration ….
    Sandra

  48. Love the stroll – I’d call your Diva card – “a girl can never have too much….” and then on the inside there would have to be something chocolate!

  56. Sherry, is it something Mae West said in one of her movies, such as, “Why don’t you come up and see me sometime, Big Boy?” If that’s not it, then how about, “Buy me a drink, sailor?” Hope that’s bad enough for you….ha ha!

  63. Divas is a great set, so many possibilities. I love what you have created!

    Kate

  72. Your cards are amazing and so inspiring.
The first card I would say Peaceful Dreams.

  73. Wonderful cards – the first one could be called “The Secret Garden” and the 2nd one could be “A Night on the Town”
    Both are gorgeous!!

  74. Beautiful cards, Sherry. My first thought is *Walking on the Bad Side*!

  75. The stroll was fun. … and your card beautiful. … how about “Let’s dance the last dance”?

  76. Your card is great and I love the Diva Inchies!

  77. Love doing the Rubbernecker Stroll. Everyone did a
nice job using the inchies. I agree with the other
ladies..your card should be titled “Walking on the
    Bad Side”.

  78. My first stroll….very enjoyable…great team!! I would name the card “Little Black Dress”. Thanks so much for sharing your talents.

  79. If it were red I’d have to say a Red Hot Mama but it’s pink. How about “a Walk on the Wild Side!”

  80. Hi, your card should be titled “A night out on the town” Lovely card!

  81. I would call it Garden of Dreams. Wonderful card. I love it.

  82. So fun to stroll. Love the new sets. Your card is beautiful.

  83. the stroll was so fun and all of the artwork is just terrific! thanks so much!
    Dawn

  84. What beautiful work. Had a great time strolling.

  85. Yay! the SCS blogs are back up again!
My first thought on the card was “Seduction” and the second was “spike”. All the images have a long spike like element in them and they all add up to seduction with a capital “S” – On the other hand they all start with S too. Scent, Shoes (spike shoes) and Sherry or Scotch or….(assuming that’s what’s in the glasses). All together I’d say they add up to Bad, Bad Sherry who walks on the bad side!

Wickedly bad humor Miss S but delightful cards (your butterfly project is my favorite so far).

    Hugs and blessings – Jean

  86. I loved your first card the first time I saw it. Still have to try that tech. Your second card is fab! W/ the perfume and shoes, I don’t know, maybe Smelly SHoes?

  87. Another great card! Thanks for the chance to win!

    Diane M.

  90. Sherry, I flippin’ LOVE the butterfly and flourish tag card! I first saw it on Splitcoast and fell in LOVE with it! Your artwork is gorgeous and I’m very much diggin’ on the butterfly and flourish inchies stamps!

  91. My favorite 2 sets! This was fun!

  92. What great cards..that butterfly one is just too gorgeous! And I think I would call it “Summer Dreams” and the end one is so pretty! I would call it “Wild Diva”..

  93. so Love the first one, like all the swirls and the nature feel to it, great colors!

  94. You make so many wonderful cards 🙂
