Good Wednesday morning and Smiley from millan.net. I can’t believe that it’s August already let alone Wednesday of this week.   It won’t be long until Mallory is headed back to school . . . hmmm let me think on that one!  As much as I love her, my quiet/clean house will return . . . Smiley from millan.net

Since today is Wednesday, that does mean that it’s Rubbernecker Stamps WACKY WEDNESDAY and Broni is our hostess this week.  She has challenged us, and you, to use flowers on your project today.  You can check out all the details and how you can win a certificate good for 40% off your entire order at Rubbernecker Stamps, at the Rubbernecker Blog

When Broni told me in Florida that it was going to be flowers, I immediately knew what I wanted to do.  Granted, there’s not much stamping going on, but there was that one inspired moment.  It did change over the course of putting the card together, but the same premises is there . . . . one of my Spellbinders Daisy flowers.

WW23

I have a few scraps of some of my new favorite paper left, the K&Company Ancestry.com line, and couldn’t resist using some of them on this card.  I do believe a trip to Archivers will be necessary soon!  The daisy was cut/embossed with different colors of paper and accented with white while still in the die.  The areas to be covered with glitter were covered with Ranger Glossy Accents first and then sprinkled with glitter.  When the Glossy Accents had started to dry, but still wet, I started curling the petals so they would hold their shape when dry.  The background panel was cut/embossed with the Spellbinders Daisy Borderabilities and then sponged with Ranger Antique Linen.  The Ancestry.com paper was sewn to the background layer and then the edges were sponged so the white thread wouldn’t be so bright.  To finish the card, I could resist adding my new ribbon, buttons and twine from Papertrey.

I hope you have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!
