Good morning!  I hope everyone had a great day yesterday and you’re on course for another today!  I have some more  new stamps that I want to share with you today.  I’ve known about DeNami Design forever.  Every time I’m at a show, either working or shopping on my own, I always see their booth, walk in and browse around a bit, but have never purchased anything.  My friends love their stamps and always leave with something they have gotten there.  Of course, their style varies from mine, and I haven’t found a way to work the DeNami Design images into my style . . .  until now!

While at the Loveland show, I had the great pleasure of finally meeting Nami, owner of DeNami Design, and got to spend a great deal of time talking with her.  She is just as sweet and adorable as her designs, and is she ever talented.  All the samples in her booth are hers and wow are they fabulous!  When leaving the show, Nami asked me to see what I could do with some of her images.  Another challenge to incorporate clean, simple and classic into a somewhat eclectic style.  Well let me tell you . . .  I had a ball today incorporating those images with my style!

The background panel was repeatedly stamped with one image, the solid filigree, using Ranger Clear Resist ink.  Once the images were dried, and using the Wrinkle Free Distress technique the paper was colored with Broken China and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Another piece of watercolor paper was colored in the same way, and then the main image was embossed gold and water colored.  The tag at the bottom was done the same way and is tied onto the card with a vintage button from my collection.  I even finished the inside . . .

something I don’t often get to do!

I’m really enjoying taking images that are clean and simple and show them in a different way . . . distressed, shabby and grungy.  It just goes to show me, and you as well, that all images can be worked in so many different ways.  We just have to look at them with a different creative slant.

I hope you have a fabulous day and try looking at some of your stamps in a different light. If you do, I would love to see what you’ve done . . . come back and leave me a link.

Thanks for stopping by!
