A New Look!

Good Monday morning!  Just a quick note before I start my day.  In particular, this is more for my subscribers that don’t necessarily click through to my blog all the time.  Over the weekend I changed a few things on my blog, hopefully to help you find things easier.

Not only did I make a new banner . . . yes, I actually made it all by myself.  I finally purchased  Photoshop and in trying to learn some of the features, I decided to play around with a new banner.  I liked it so much, that I couldn’t help but use it.   I also broke down my posts into more categories such as those for gift boxes, altered art, tag art, notebooks, etc.  I hope this helps all of you find what you are looking for easier.

I’m still working on adding new categories and getting the cross-references made and will do so as time allows (mainly when I’m doing absolutely nothing in front of the television late at night).

Let me know what you think and if I can add any categories that you would like to see!

    I was going to mention that I liked the banner (noticed it yesterday on my daily “check”)

    So what photoshop did you get? I’m starting to consider looking into a photo program and would love to hear any pros/cons of this system

    I love the new banner! I use Photoshop Elements myself, although I have a full (student, so it is OLDER version) Photoshop as well. Elements is more user friendly, imo! Lots of free tutorials out there, too. Enjoy!

    Hi Sherri

    Love the new look, fantastic banner. I found free online classes on Photoshop on Hewlett Packard site. The do digital scrapbook classes after which you can make your own backgrounds, 3D elements and all kinds of stuff. Much easier than trying to follow a book

    Sorry to post links like this, but they are free no catches and you can ‘do’ the class at times that suit you. They are all online so no travelling involved.

    It takes a while to find your way round PHotoshop but once you do there are so many things you can do with it. A bit like learning to drive, you have to think all the steps as you go for a while, then one day it all makes sence ;)

    I degress. I’m one of those subscribers who just reads and runs away after drooling over your work. But, now I clicked to see your new look and must say a big congratulations on your Photoshop talent. I need to learn it and clicked on Billie’s link. It never occured to me that I could check out HP. Took a peak and there are loads of good classes. Maybe we will bump into each other over there :)

    Oh Wow….this is a great new look, Sherry! I love the new banner it ‘fits’ your personality perfectly…ugh, I guess that’s because YOU designed it, huh?!
    You are tremendously talented and your creativity is always awesome, in my book!
    I am glad though, that kept the same picture of yourself….I love seeing that smiling face each day as I follow your blog. It makes me feel as if I’m right there in the same room with you, just ooooooohing and aweing over everything you are creating!
