Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is having a good week so far.  It’s been rainy here and on days like this, you don’t want to get out at all.  Actually, I’ve been putting the shihtz’ on their leashes and I’m standing in the garage  . . . . Smiley from millan.net  I don’t see any reason why we should all get wet.

I’m still in Halloween mode and have more ideas than I’ll ever get down on paper.  Just now I had another and got Smiley from millan.net doing a Google search . . .  I know, I know . . . . BAD!

Anyhoo, I’ve been working on this card for a week or so and decided I needed to finish it up.  It’s just not like me to have more than one project going at a time (well in the past), but these days it seems to happen more and more.  In all honesty, I was talking to Linda Duke yesterday, and she challenged me to finish this one up.  So, I did!

The main image is from the Heartwarming Vintage Collection Calendar that I picked up at CHA.  I cut the pumpkin out and then covered it with Ranger Crackle Accents.   Once it dried, I applied some Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the cracks and then wiped off the extra.  Look at how cool it is!

I distressed some background papers, die cut/embossed a few Nestabilities and kept layering it all together until I was satisfied the result.  The sentiment was found in a book and then printed off with the computer.  Inside is the greeting . . . Happy Halloween.

  1. Hi Sherry! Since I just found out you’ve been to my blog, thought I’d hop on over to your place–so glad I did! Love your work! You’re so creative, and I love your vintage stuff (of course!) Love the card you just put on SCS today, and scrolling down, my mouth just flew open with your raven card–LOVE it! Love Mr. Poe, and this is just perfectly Gothic! I’ll be back often to check out your latest! Thanks again for your kind comments!

  2. What a cool distressed, vintage card, Sher-bear!! Love the crackle effect on the cute little pumpkin! Love that great color combo too! (So… I’m reserving the t-bird, the scooter and 2 ass-in-the-sand beach chairs. Long tall drinks to follow in the hands of some hunky cabana boys!!)

  3. Love your card Sherry! I just love your style in general! 🙂

  4. Love this card! Love the look of that crackled effect!

  5. Amazing design, Sherry! The Crackle Accent looks incredible! That stuff NEVER works like that for me! The layout of your card is fabulous, too!

  6. Oh I love that crackle and distress technique! I’m gonna have to try that. I always get intimidated when I see new stuff at the store. I’d like to try it, but I have no clue what to do!!! thanks for sharing you project. Now I want to go shopping. 🙂
