Good Friday morning!  In my attempt to use some of my old snowmen stamps, I ran into an image that I have never colored before.  Not only have I not colored it, I don’t even have the stamp.  My sister, Carrie, is a Longaberger collector and has made numerous trips to the the factory.  One year she was so excited when she found a rubber stamp in the shop and she bought it.   Even though I wish Carrie would stamp with me, she is not a stamper but a cross-stitcher.  When she showed me the stamp, I stamped out numerous images and then gave the stamp back to her.  I had forgotten all about those images until the other day.  I was going through a box of old images looking for snowmen, snowballs, whatever I could find, when I ran across the Garden Snowman.  I did a Google search looking the stamp, but came up empty-handed.  I didn’t even come across the coasters that Carrie also purchased that day.

Anyhoo, here’s my second snowman card of the year.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then I applied a light coat of Ranger Rock Candy Stickles on the snowman.  For the snow at the bottom, I used Tulip White Puffy Paint that was painted on with a paint brush and then heat set to puff.  I was super excited when I was digging through my button stash and found the old red button.  It’s cracked and distressed and I knew it would make a perfect embellishment.

  6. I love your card. I thought I had given you that stamp. Well I will find it and it will be yours for your massive collection of stamps. I don’t stamp with my sister because she can look at a pile of sh** and make it look fantastic. I can look at a pile of sh** and it would still be a pile of sh**. Doesn’t my sister just make fabulous cards. We just love her work and we love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Beautiful card Sherry. I love your coloring and your composition. This looks very Vintage to me. Very nice work. TFS!!!

  8. I have a serious case of ribbon envy going on here. I think I it because my relationship with ribbon is kinda on the rocks right now.

Extra elements. That is what makes your cards just POP. All the extra little details.

  9. the image is so sweet and wonderful coloring, that paper is so pretty and love your die cutting to go with them!

  10. Oh man–I used to collect Longabergers. And then I reached “basket saturation” and either had to move to a larger house, or quit buying them. So I quit buying them. Your card is wonderful. I love the DP and the overall folk art look of the card (of many of your cards). I bought a Janome Sew Mini over the weekend largely because of you. True story. I couldn’t wait to sew on some of my cards.

  11. TOTAL GORGEOUSNESS!!!
