Happy Friday!  To continue on with T!m’s Smiley from millan.net 12  Tags of Christmas, I was able to finish up Tag 2 last night!  Of course, I should have been working on the bills, doing laundry, blah blah blah, BUT  . . . the urge to create was way toooooooooooo strong!

Here’s T!m’s Smiley from millan.net Tag 2 and my version below.Tag2

I had to make a number of changes with this tag as I don’t have some of the images T!m Smiley from millan.net used.  I also made my photo corners with copper foil, Spellbinders™ Flourish Impressabilities and Gold EP.  I did have some of T!m’s Smiley from millan.net foliage pieces, which I did use some of the leave, but I had a different idea for the flower.  Even though I thought the idea of bending and twisting the foliage was sheer genius, I knew immediately that I wanted to use one of the faux porcelain flowers that I created the other day.  I did add a long fastener so that I could fasten the flower to the tag.

  • Stamps:  Tim Holtz Collection  Mini Holidays, Retro Holiday and Urban Tapestry from Stampers Anonymous; Pollen Dust from Fancy Pants Designs
  • Paper:  Manila Shipping Tag; Cranberry Crisp
  • Ink:  Ranger Archival Jet Black, and Distress Embossing, Pine Needles, Fired Brick and Vintage Photo
  • Accessories:  Spellbinders™ S4-191 Dahlia Nesties and I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities; Ranger Distress Scattered Straw and Queen’s Gold Embossing Powders, UTEE, Melting Pot, Snow Cap Acrylic Paint Dabber, Gold Perfect Pearls; Copper Foil; Tim Holtz idea-ology Foliage, Long Fastener; May Arts Ribbon; Jingle Bell, Other gold ribbon

Well that’s all I have for right now!  I’m going to find out what Tag 4 is and get to work on Tag 3.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Oh and by the way, I’ve already torn off the one Grunge Board Flourish from the butt of the snowman from Tag 1.  I like the tag much better now!

  1. This is gorgeous Sherry. The faux porcelain flower is the perfect finishing touch. It really pops. I made a mistake on yesterdays post about the corner treatment that was for tag #2. My apologies. I can’t stop looking at this tag. It’s really a treat for the soul. TFS!!!

  2. Oh!! I like this one a LOT! and I have to say I am glad you took the flourish off the snowman’s butt! I HATE when there are flourishes on a snowman’s butt!! LOL! No really, I think it looks more balanced! I love the fact that you used the faux porcelain flower on Tag 2, makes me wish again today that I had a melting pot. Thought that I would never use one!

  7. Beautiful!

I just purchased some Spellbinders items to go with my Quickutz machine, now to figure out how to use it (no clue) and all the stamps and Tim Holtz stuff too. Just hope I can come up with something as beautiful at this tag. I’m CLUELESS on what to do!

Hopefully, one day, I can create something almost as gorgeous!
