Good morning!  Wow I can’t believe it’s Friday already and I haven’t posted crap all week long.  I will say that I’ve been darn busy though.  I can’t show you what I’ve been working on . . . . you’ll have to wait for the Spellbinders CHA Blog Frenzy!  Fun, fun stuff!!!

Moving on to today’s post.  It’s time for another Just For Fun® Friday.  This week Glenda challenged the Design Team and anyone who wants to play along with us, to use the following colors:

JFFCC17

I call this my sell out card.  It’s clean, no sponging, simple for the most part, and can be made rather quickly.  Not my style per se, but it is another style that I CAN do.

The flower is a brand new image introduced at Stampfest Orlando.  I colored it with Copic Markers.  See that little sentiment on the bottom that says Happy Birthday.  That’s another new set of stamps introduced at Stampfest.  This one (the sentiments) I designed and it’s set up to work with the smallest of the Spellbinders™ Oval and Circle Nestabilities.  They will also work with the Stampin’ UP! oval punches.  I’m pretty excited about them . . . it’s a set we’ve needed for a long time!  I don’t believe either of these sets are on the new JFF site yet, but if you decide they are HAVE TO HAVE, you can email [email protected] and he’ll set you up.

We would love to have you play along with us!  You don’t have to use Just For Fun® stamps, especially if you don’t have any yet.  However, if you do play along, you might just be the lucky winner of a 25% Discount so you can go shopping!   All you have to do is make a card/project using the above colors and post a direct link on the Just For Fun® Blog.

For further inspiration, you should also visit the blogs of the other Designers. They’ve got some awesome projects to share with you today.

It’s Saturday night and we just got in from a rainy run through Downtown Disney.  It was my first trip there and really rather fun.  We did however, come in totally drenched from a major thunder storm.  We had dinner at Rainforest Cafe and while we were setting on the outdoor patio it started raining.  So we hung out in the store for awhile while it was thundering and lightening.

We didn’t wait out the rain and decided to make a run for it.  The one store Sandy wanted to go to was the Lego Store.

It was a long day on the show floor today and I didn’t get away from the booth but for maybe a short break.  Saw lots of SCS friends and some of you readers at the booth.  So glad you stopped by and had a little fun with me!

Friday night was make and take night.  There were 125 stampers, give or take, hopping from table to table having a blast.  Here they are waiting or the doors to open.

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back with more tomorrow.  I’ll have some time to kill tomorrow afternoon and evening.  My flight home Monday morning leaves at 7:30 but I have to meet my shuttle at 4:30 a.m.  I see no reason to go to sleep Sunday night.

My day yesterday . . . traveling to Orlando.  First we left Louisville 30 minutes late.  Why?  I have no clue.  There was another plane in our spot and we had to wait for them to leave first.  This is what I saw started our descent into Orlando.

When we landed . . . .

tarmac

planes waiting on the tarmac.  Lightening in the area caused the airport to call in the workers, no planes could take off and in turn, none could pull in.  The wait . . .  30 minutes.

Now I’m hour over give or take.  My flight was scheduled to arrive at 3:05.  I retrieved my checked bag at 4:35.

Then I went to find my shuttle for the trip to the hotel.

Mears

Another 45 minute wait.  Arrival at the 5:45.  Time for dinner, a few cold beers and I’m hanging in the room waiting for all the girls.

Have a great day and remember . . .  somebody out there loves you and you can’t do a thing about it!

Good Tuesday morning! I hope y’all had a good day yesterday. I ended up getting my hair trimmed, ran a few errands, stopped by my mom’s for a bit and ended up getting home mid-afternoon. Just about the time I was feeling an afternoon nap coming on I had a brain storm (no giggles from the peanut gallery . . . . yes, it hurt) for a project. I finally ended up in the studio just about dinner time. I worked that out perfectly, because I didn’t have to cook at all . . . Mallory and Lance did!

I had one of the frames left that I had picked up early for 69¢ that I decided to alter. I recently received some new papers and stamps and felt it was time to break them out.

SherryCheeverPossibilityJune15(4)

BasicGrey Cappella is used on everything from the inside of the frame to the flower and butterfly on the outside. The flower, leaves and butterfly are made from Grunge Paper that was covered with Cappella papers. The middle of the flower is an old clip earring and the middle of the butterfly is also part of an earring. The sentiment is from one of my new Wordsworth Remembering sets. This little frame was just too much fun to work on!

That’s it for now . . . a quick little post. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Smiley from millan.net Good Monday morning! I hope y’all had a good weekend and you didn’t stifle in the heat. Geesh it was mega humid here in the Ohio Valley! After Mallory and I cleaned the hot tub last week, we decided to turn the heat down. It’s so refreshing to go out in the evenings when the water is 85-90 degrees. Smiley from millan.net Why did we not think of this sooner?

I know I’ve been fairly lax in posting the last couple of weeks. Sometimes it just happens I guess . . . life! It gets in the way when you least expect or even want it to. I’m set to do better, and know that I will have tons to post when I get to Orlando.

Today I have a little story to tell you. I have a friend . . . a close friend . . . even though I’ve never met her in person. I’ve talked to her on the forums, on the phone, blah blah blah. She calls me Yoda Smiley from millan.net and calls herself my Padawan. This has been going on for a few years now. She whines! She whines a lot! Smiley from millan.net Especially when she thinks she can’t achieve what she wants to in this crazy craft of ours. She has come into her own actually and has learned to let go of styles that aren’t in her to do.  She has finally found her own style and her niche (outside her box).  I’m very proud of her! But seriously don’t tell her . . . I don’t need her to have a big head.

Recently my Padawan has been on a woe is me kick. She leaves blog comments like these:

Is it right for a padawon to have severe jealousy of the master Yoda?!

Sigh…….someday, when I become a Jedi master…..

I’m going to alter a little, tiny bottle and send it to you. All I ask is for you to just put a itty bit of your creativity in it and mail it back

Just an itty, bitty little bottle!! Heehee

Those are only a handful of comments left recently. You gotta love her!!!!

You know that once I read the comment about a little bottle that my mind started racing. I just couldn’t help myself actually! Sometimes when I read things or talk about things with friends my mind starts racing in not so good ways. Have you ever wondered how many uses there are for Great Stuff? I’m convinced that it is the ultimate weapon! Possible uses: tail pipes, locks, sunroofs, door seals, trunks, pool filters, blah blah blah. I’m sure you get the picture and will agree that it is THE ultimate weapon!

Now that I’ve digressed . . . back to the little bottle. I made her one myself! Shhhhh please don’t tell her as I want it to be a surprise Smiley from millan.net

SherryCheeverImagineJarJune14(3)

I had this old McCormick Spice bottle in my stash and realized it would be perfect to alter.

SherryCheeverImagineJarSIDEJune14(3)

Some Grunge Board, a few Spellbinders™ Dies and a surprise (Vintage Shard Glass Glitter – not that I haven’t heard enough whining about that) added inside the jar . . . instant creativity for a lowly Padawan!

So that’s about it for today . . . . Except . . . my little Padawan you know I love you like a sister, or at least more than my luggage!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  I’m off to get my first actual haircut since December 29th!
