Happy weekend!  I hope your weekend has started off with a bang and if you some getting snow . . . I hope you are staying warm!  We are getting snow today and it’s darn right cold . . . definitely not my short weather.  However, it’s a great day to get in the studio and work.  I had so  much going on this past week, that I didn’t get to spend too  much time in the studio.

I’ve been watching Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas and the Wendy Vecchi Yahoo Group is playing along Wendy style, as well.  There are others doing tags this way or that way . . . there are just tags everywhere!

I haven’t made a conscious effort to thing of the tags this year and am not planning on playing along one way or the other.  However, when I sat down at my work table today what did I do . . . a tag!  Now don’t go getting all excited that you are going to be seeing 12 tags here this week.  I just didn’t feel like making a card and reached for a tag instead.  However, you never know with me . . . because I never know either!

BelieveTagDec4

The tag is covered with different paper designs from My Mind’s Eye Holly Jolly and the border was die cut/embossed with S4-242 Big Scalloped Borderabilities Petite and glue down to the other layers.

The snowman image is from a new set I just received, Darcie’s Simply Charmed Stamp Set.  It was stamped in Jenni Bowlin Chili Powder ink and then die cut/embossed with S4-161 Labels One.  I die cut another layer with Labels One to highlight the snowman image, which was sanded and then inked with Old Paper Distress Inks.

BelieveTagCloseUpSnowflake

The snowflake is made by die cutting/embossing the two smaller shapes in Spellbinders™ S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendant.  The layers were then covered in Ranger Glossy Accents and sprinkled with crystal glitter.  The snowflake held together with some craft wire and a vintage button.

I used one of the coupons from the Holly Jolly paper, inked the edges in Chili Powder and put it in place with a Tim Holtz idea-ology Memo Pin.

The ribbon on the tag is May Arts from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I distressed the Ivory Crochet Lace and Sage Twill with Old Paper Distress Inks.  The red ribbon is actually Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon that I dyed with the Chili Powder ink.  A great way to get matching ribbon for your projects!

Well, that’s all for now!  I’m heading back to the studio to work on a few more projects.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by today!
