During the hop, there will be 6 prize packages awarded; three from eclectic Paperie and three from Crafty Secrets. In order to be eligible to win one of the six prize packages, all you have to do is leave a comment on my fellow designers’ blog, including mine. You have 48 hours to leave a comment and all the winners will be announced Monday . . . 3 on the eP Blog and 3 on the Crafty Secrets Blog.
Edited to add: I just saw this morning that Crafty Secrets has upped the prizes to 16 . . . WOO HOO!
Now for my project today. I chose to work with the Crafty Secrets Material Girl set. Something about this set tugs at my heart strings . . . . maybe its because I come from a family of stitchers, maybe its just the vintage feel . . . I don’t know what it is. All I know is that I couldn’t wait to get this set and I’m so happy I did!
I kept my card fairly simple, stamping only the sewing machine and the sentiment, Little Sewing Co., as my image. The sewing machine was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with a Gold Copic Marker. My background paper is BasicGrey Cappella.
I love the doilies everyone is using, and it occurred to me that I had the perfect dies . . . Spellbinders™ S5-041 Floral Doily Motifs. I paired it with S5-040 Floral Doily Accents (for my border), S4-293 Lacey Circles and S4-114 Standard Circles – Large.
I used Antique Linen Distress Ink to sponge the edges of the paper and of course, I had to add a little stitching.
On the inside I lightly stamped the dress from in Archival Coffee.
My ribbon is made with white seam binding that I dyed with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, highlighted with Vintage Photo. I prepared a video for you showing how I dye the seam binding.
That’s all for me today. I hope you enjoy the hop and remember . . . leave comments, you might be one of the lucky 6 to win a prize package.
Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures that come your way!
