Good morning from CHA! Today is the last day and then we move into the Jewelry, Fashion and Accessories Show. This is what we all call the Craft Super Show and where all the stamping/scrapping booths will be to sell to the public. I’m pretty excited about browsing the jewelry part of it to look for new embellishments, etc.
I got into a 7 Gypsies class today and worked with the 4×6 Photo Frame, new papers and rubbings . . . it was way too much fun! It also gave me some ideas about working with the Photo Frames. I’ve always loved them, but never could figure out what to do with them. Now I know!
Something else was bothering me yesterday and I just want to clear the record for you here . . . I’m not asking YOU to boycott any die company, I was just telling you what I was doing. That choice is yours and you are free to make it, just like I’m free to make my own. I personally don’t care what you use . . . but if you are coming here to see those dies, you won’t find them. It’s as simple as that! My decision is very personal and one that has been coming for some months.
How about some stamping . . . one of my CHA projects for the Spellbinders booth.
The focus sentiment is from JustRite Signs of Life. After it was stamped in Archival Coffee, it was die cut/embossed with Circle Nestabilities. Each layer is alternating between the Lacey Circles and Spellbinders new die template, Star Circles. Layers of two have been raised with foam mounting tape.
To show a different use of the new Edgeabilities, this border was turned on the side and embossed the flower companion die. Since the card was in light shades, I decided to go with a bow of seam binding dyed with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Oh and btw…. I agree with ya on the dies thing, but I totally got what you meant….it’s all a personal choice…. (kind of like me and SU). Ahhhh oohhh and OMG Sherry, saw your project for Graphics 45….. damn woman….. totally gorgeous.

I’m sorry if you felt pressured to remove your prior post re the Spellbinder dies. I realize that imitation is supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery, but that’s just bull. Spellbinder has a superior product, and theft is just theft. I never buy anything but their dies, so a boycott wouldn’t mean much from me, but I’m all for it!
Love your card Sherry. Spellbinders are the best dies around and I won’t be straying far either 😉 Can’t wait for the new ones to arrive Downunder.

I’m glad you like spellbinders, I’ve had terrible luck getting anything after the CHA’s, the fastest I’ve ever gotten my pre-orders from several companies including Spellbinders is 3-5 months. I”m thrilled to be able to order new stuff from the other companies and get it before I’m so disgusted I don’t even want them anymore. I don’t believe the other companies are hurting them, I order what I like from Spellbinders but could care less about a lot of the cutesy stuff so at least I get some gorgeous Victorian type of dies from other companies. I think the competition is great and not hurting them at all.
Well, I will boycott them for sure. Don’t mess with my Spellbinders. This is such a fantastic card, gonna try to do this one! Have fun!

I love, love, love, love, love, love Spellbinders. I recently was able to purchase the Grand Calibur and eight of the Grand dies. I have a lot of the other Spellbinders dies. Did I mention the I love Spelllbinders? I have other dies but I almost never do a card or other project that I don’t reach for my Spellbinders dies. Oh let me just say again that I love my Spellbinders 🙂
