Since I’m sitting at home this CHA, I’ve been watching all the Social Media posts and trying to catch any photos and videos I can.  I’m still dying to see photos of the Spellbinders Booth . . . so if anyone at CHA is reading this . . .

Isn’t the Media Mixáge™ line fabulous?  I’ve been waiting for months now to post some things with the bezels.  One of the projects I did was posted on the Spellbinders™ site last night and I was so flippin’ excited to see it on line!

I altered an old legal speller (that I first purchased some 33 years ago when I first went to work as a legal secretary).

My assignment was to use the smallest Shield Bezel, and instead of making a jewelry piece (which I knew everyone else would do), I chose to alter a book to hold the bezel.

You can find the altered book, Shield My Heart, on the Spellbinders site.  If you click on the name it will take you direct.  There’s even a video with instructions, but beware . . . I was exhausted when I made the video and I’m afraid it shows.

Thanks for stopping by!

  8. You really shine with this kind of project. It’s something I’d like to be better at but I just love making cards, and if I don’t use them I can sell them. This book is a work of art!

  9. What a clever idea! I really like how the book frames the bezel. It makes a wonderful decoration to keep out in the living area of the house.

  10. Beautiful, Sherry! Am going straight to the video to get an idea of what kind of machine you used for this project; it looks like something I would like to have…lol P.S. Am still trying my hand with the distress flowers and am not succeeding, so if I send a plane ticket to you, would you consider leaving Hadlee for a few days to teach in Colorado? LOL!
