Good morning!  Today was my first day without the grandbaby . . . Kate’s last teacher day was yesterday and she’s staying home for the next couple of months.  Of course, we did Face Time twice during the day!  I forgot how much time I actually had during the day before grandbaby time . . .  believe me, I wouldn’t trade it for nothing . . . but boy did I get a lot done today.

I’ve got two months to clean windows, wash blinds and do some carpet cleaning.   First though I’ve still got Mallory seeing more specialists, my sister is going to have another surgery on her leg and knee, and we are starting a total gut and remodel on the main bath in the morning (lots of water damage and rot behind the tile . . . no waterproof backer board in these older homes).  It’s definitely going to be an adventure!

Today while waiting on my contractor to arrive with new bath fixtures, etc., to store in the garage, I worked in the studio on this

GardenDelightsPlaque

All the details and more pictures on posted on the Quietfire Creations Blog today!  I hope you’ll hop over and take a closer look.

Thanks for stopping by here today and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures that come your way!

  3. beauty |ˈbyo͞otē|
    noun ( pl. beauties )
1 a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, esp. the sight: I was struck by her beauty | an area of outstanding natural beauty.
    • a combination of qualities that pleases the intellect or moral sense.

Your card like so much of your work fits the definition perfectly.

  4. I love all the colors your used. You are a master with your flower creations. I always love how you die and put the seam binding in your designs.

  5. Sherry, Love the Secret Garden creation. The paper line is beautiful, and you made it even more beautiful. The Quietfire sentiments are always so beautiful. Enjoy your re-model!

  6. Wow Sherry, you are going to miss that little one. As exhausting as the granddaughters are sometimes, the house seems so quite and still when they are not here. Maybe to still. But I am sure Mommy is looking forward to spending quality time with her little girl.
Wow, you have quite a list of projects. Bath remodel is a major job, but will be so wonderful when done!!!! Have a great summer, and I sure hope sweet Mallory gets some answers soon. She has been dealing with this for such a long time now. Love your card!!!!!!
    Hugs,
    Marcie
