Good morning!  How is everyone?  I must say that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting into the studio and just playing recently.  It’s been so long since I’ve done anything crafty just for the FUN of it!  Might have to be making a few changes just so I do feel like its fun and not so much work.

When I was at StampAway a week or so ago, I finally got to meet Pat Huntoon from Technique Junkies.  You know I’ve had hops with her, used her product and never had met her . . . I was so excited when I saw her sitting in her booth!   What I didn’t know was that she had joined forces with Stamp Camp (I actually have a number of stamps that I’ve picked up over the years from Stamp Camp . . .  I’m going to need to dig them out) and now you can purchase those stamps online at Technique Junkies Stamps/Stamp Camp.  While I was browsing Pat’s booth, I found a set of stamps that I absolutely had to have . . .  Things I Want To Do . . . which I’ve used for today’s project.

For those of you who have followed me for some time, know that I love Art Impressions Millie!  It’s been quite a long time since I’ve pulled Millie out and got her inky . . . but you see, when I first saw the set Things I Want To Do, I KNEW that they would be perfect with Millie!

Can I just say . . .  FUN!  Millie was colored with Copic Markers and then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders S5-171 A2 Curved Matting Basics A; the black background panel was die cut/embossed with S5-172 A2 Curved Matting Basics B.

The sentiment was stamped in Archival Jet Black, and then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders S4-367 Back to Basics Tags.

I went rummaging through my paper stash for something that would match Millie’s dress, and finally settled on an old pad of Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket.  Some of the scraps were distressed, inked and then stitched to a piece of black card stock.

I think you’ll be seeing more of this sentiment set with some of the other Art Impressions ladies!

  1. This is WONDERFUL, Sherry!!!
I love Millie, your coloring, the paper combo… AND that sentiment!

Great card! I am so glad you had a chance to have fun!
(I completely understand what you are talking about — I need to clean my studio and go do likewise!! 😉 )

  2. Millie looks sooooo happy and I’m happy to see her! I love the colors and all of your card. Making cards is much more fun when you don’t “have” to, isn’t it? Glad you’re having fun.

  3. Love, love, love Millie’s deep red dress. That woman has pizzaz, and you’ve helped her show it off. Great card!
