Happy Tuesday! Yesterday I promised you some stampy fun today. Well, I’m almost embarrassed to show you my card . . . . I’m asking myself now what in the hell was I thinking. I actually think this will a test of styles . . . it will be perfect for it.

So I was thinking (oh my BADness, yes it hurt!) that I wanted black and white, with a pop of color. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done that. Believe it or not, this card is clean and simple for me . . . no sponging, no extra embellishments, (or for pity sake . . . what in the hell was I thinking?)

Well, we might as well get this over with . . .

As you can see, it’s pretty simple. The image was colored with Copic Markers and then everything else . . . well, simple black and white. The embossing of the Spellbinders dies gave me a perfect edge to add some faux stitching (something else I haven’t done in a long time). The image is fairly large in size and to find a die to fit left too much white space. I didn’t want that. I found the size of die I needed, marked the edges of overhang, and trimmed the image out to fit under my die when I cutting and embossing. Pretty cool!

I think the next time I use this image it will be inky!

Happy Thursday! Not only is it Thursday, but its also race day . . . . good golly I love Race Week at Daytona! I’m going to try and go over to mom’s to watch The Duals with her and Uncle Billy. I’ve got a big blog hop tomorrow and I’m not quite ready . . . okay, so I haven’t even started my project yet!

It’s gonna be a fun one so I hope you come back tomorrow!

I was feeling a little BAD yesterday – a little naughty so to speak! It has been a very long time since I’ve done blatant BAD girl humor and simply felt compelled. All I can say is . . . Damnation it was fun!!!!!

Remember my girl, Millie? I so love her! I think I was inspired to ink her up from my recent conversations with the owners from Art Impressions at CHA. I was telling them about one of my favorite Millie cards and how we NEEDED a certain sentiment. Have I told you that eclectic Paperie will be carrying their Girlfriend line? Well if I haven’t, they will be! I so can’t wait until the come in. So here’s what I’m thinking. If you like Millie and you think that you absolutely NEED her, send Daisy an email and let her know that you think eP should carry Millie too! Yeah . . . . that’s it, email Daisy!

Without further ado . . . I bring you Millie!

Of course she is celebrating so she must be wearing red along with her leopard high heels. You’ll notice she’s not wearing socks because

she has on matching underwear!

I know you’ll forgive me for feeling a little feisty. Who knows, there may be more of these coming.

Needless to say, the sentiment was computer generated . . . but if anyone is reading and wants to make this sentiment in red rubber, let me know!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate all your comments, emails and phone calls that I received today. Thank you all so very much for your concern and well wishes! Trust me when I say that I actually feel better at this point in time than I did a couple of months ago. Hell, I even feel better than I did a month ago. Hopefully I’ll keep on this pace and will eventually feel like my old BAD self!

Guess what? I finally walked into the studio today. I’m surprised that the carpet wasn’t wet from the recent storms. I just knew that I was going to have a mess on my hands. Actually, the only mess I found was what I had left out the last time I was in there. You know, I’m starting to think that I’m just not happy with the layout of the studio and that’s why mojo is in hiding. As organized as I can be, I’m just not able to make this space work the way I want (or need) it to. It bugs me!!!! I would definitely entertain offers if any of you wanted to come help . . . You know we would have to stamp to make sure the setup works!

I started before noon today . . . that was really good for me! I tried and tried to color some new floral images I’ve received, but alas it never worked. Around 1:30 I ended up throwing everything in garbage, turned off the lights and walked upstairs for some lunch. By 2:30 I was snuggling in for a little “after lunch” nap. A sad thing is what was too only be about 30 minutes turned into a couple of hours. But I did awake feeling refreshed with a few ideas running through my head.

Now my mother has been hinting that she could use some cards, but she can’t get anyone to make her any. Duh . . . She has specifically asked for some with Max in the martini glass and of course she always loves anything with Millie. I pulled out both stamps and decided that maybe some humorous and fun stamping was just was I needed to get me over this hump. Oops, I said hump . .

While I was visiting my dear friend Tex last year (actually we were working the San Antonio Show with Rubbernecker). Oh this is a good story! Me, Bev (“Tex”) and Joan were all going to work the San Antonio show for Rubbernecker. Dave a/k/a Mr. Rubbernecker, was driving all of us to the show and just about the time I saw the Salado sign, I yelled for Dave to pull off at the next exit. With Bev and Joan in the back agreeing with me (and might I add, laughing the entire time), Dave pulled off at the Salado exit. We directed him to Stamp Salado, still not telling him what we were up to. Suddenly it hit Dave what was going on and while he was pulling in the parking lot, he was dying that his truck and show trailer were pulling into ANOTHER stamp store! He did walk into the store with us and spent just as much time as we did walking around. So the point even mentioning Stamp Salado was that I picked up the sentiment stamp that I used today . . . from Deadbeat Designs . . . “Whatever Makes Your Wild Hair Blow.” It was perfect and a must have!

So, Millie has a wild hair today! It’s a perfect Birthday card for my mother to send to one of her lady friends. I even stamped Happy Birthday on the inside and on the back (another new stamp I found recently) Hand-stamped by an Art Floozy!

One Layer Simple Card

My mother and my aunt are still after me to create one layer simple cards for them to send to their friends. Now, you have realize, that they will go to the $ store and buy what they think are simply gorgeous cards, 2 for $1.00. It’s not that I am going to charge them for a card, but I really would like for them to send something that I have made! So today, I’m bouncing . . . . . . yep bouncing! I finally figured out how to type a sentiment on the computer — outside and in —– on one sheet of watercolor paper! How cool is this!!!!!

I typed up the sentiment on this card using columns in my word processor, printed it out on the front — then flipped the paper so that the inside would print (inside the card reads, and I have on matching underwear). Forgive me for overusing this sentiment recently, but my mother absolutely loves it and seems to want it on every card she sends now. She also told me last night that out of all my women images — she loves Millie the best! Once I had the card printed, I stamped Millie on the front, watercolored her using reinkers and then tied on some ribbons. Boy I hope she likes this one because I am just absolutely tickled! I will be dropping it off to her later this afternoon.
