Good morning!  Hope everyone is staying warm and you’re not buried under feet of snow.  We’ve had our first major snowstorm for the year and it’s been bitterly cold . . . let’s hope it warms up for all of us soon!

During the last month, I’ve been working on some favors for my sorority province meeting . . .  wish I had gotten a picture of the completed box.  I die cut and made some fabric flowers that were attached to the front of a take-out box which we put a few treats in.

I’ve also taken the time to organize and clean my work space.  I’m so glad I did . . . I finally feel that I have a room that suits me and that I actually like working in.  (If you follow me on Facebook, you can see all the photos there!)

I have a few projects in the beginning stages for Ken Oliver using his new products.  Love his new Color Burst!  These will be hopefully finished over the upcoming weekend and I’ll have a few things to share next week.

The last few days I’ve been working on a project for Quietfire Design.

ArtisanFrameRTscs

I used lots of old product that I’ve had in my stash for some time:  An old Darcie’s Offset Square Shadowbox Frame, GrungePaper, Tattered Floral die (I know . . . don’t faint).  I also used some new Graphic 45 paper I picked up at CHA, Artisan Style, and a Quietfire stamp.  Please hop over to the Quietfire Creations Blog, check out all the details and more photos.  I would love it if you could leave me a comment over there and let Suzanne know you visited!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Good morning!  I know it’s been a bit since I posted last, but trust me . . . there will be more to come sooner rather than later.  I’m making head way in the studio move and it looks like I’m going to have some more time during the week to spend crafting.  At least I have all my fingers and nine toes crossed!

Today I have a 5×7 layered card that I’m sharing on the eclectic Paperie Blog.  I hope you’ll join me over there for all the details and more photos!

I can hardly believe I’m back with another post today!  I got started working in the studio and finished up earlier than I thought . . . so . . . what the hell, here’s another post with a new project!

I started with a mini square frame from Darcie’s, used some extra Olde Curiosity Shoppe scraps left over from CHA and ended up with this.

MiniFrameforSpellbinders(3)

When I looked at it in the photo, I realize that it’s fairly busy with all the paper, but I still like it!

I didn’t use the acrylic piece that came with the frame, deciding instead to leave the opening so that I could add some additional embellishments.  I covered a mini bottle with Rock Candy Distress Stickles and inserted it into the opening.

MiniFrameBottleCloseUp

The butterfly was cut from the paper and then glued to a scrap of Studio 490 Clearly for Art, which was heated and then I could curl the wings easily.

The flowers were made with the new Spellbinder’s die template, Mini Blossoms.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Tuesday!  I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted anything here.  Yes, I can!  I’ve been decorating, crafting with Kate, and simply being lazy.  Oh!  I’ve also been working on projects that I can’t show you yet . . . if you know what I mean.

I have a couple of things today to let you know about.  First, Graphic 45 is having a Holiday Gift Tag Challenge.  It’s the December challenge and you have until December 15th to take part.  Click on the link, Holiday Gift Tag Challenge, and you can read all about it.

The next item . . . one of my shadowboxes is being showcased on the Graphic 45 Blog today.   Please hop over there and check out the other projects . . . which are absolutely fabulous and so darn creative!

ShadowBoxFrameFULL

The frame is from Darcie’s and is the medium shadowbox.  A scene from Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium Collection, Christmas Emporium, was die cut with Spellbinders™ Grand Labels One then placed on the bottom layer.

ShadowBoxFrameLAYERED SANTA

To add dimension, the book and Santa’s upper body were cut out separately and mounted over the bottom layer with 3D Foam Squares.  After building up the frame, iridescent snow flake sprinkles were added before adding the Plexiglas.  The top layer of the frame was covered with Happy Holidays from the collection and then added to finish the frame.

ShadowBoxFramePOINSETTIA

The poinsettia was die cut/embossed from Under the Mistletoe with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia.  The middle was made with small pearl beads covered with Lemonade Alcohol Ink.

ShadowBoxFrameTREE

The tree is from Want2Scrap that was covered with Peeled Paint Distress Stain then covered with Peeled Paint Distress Stickles.  The stamp is from Special Delivery that was distressed then sponged with Antique Linen.  The star at the top of the tree began as clear, but was covered in Lemonade Alcohol Ink.

I guess that’s all for today.  Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures of the day!

Happy weekend!  I hope your weekend has started off with a bang and if you some getting snow . . . I hope you are staying warm!  We are getting snow today and it’s darn right cold . . . definitely not my short weather.  However, it’s a great day to get in the studio and work.  I had so  much going on this past week, that I didn’t get to spend too  much time in the studio.

I’ve been watching Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas and the Wendy Vecchi Yahoo Group is playing along Wendy style, as well.  There are others doing tags this way or that way . . . there are just tags everywhere!

I haven’t made a conscious effort to thing of the tags this year and am not planning on playing along one way or the other.  However, when I sat down at my work table today what did I do . . . a tag!  Now don’t go getting all excited that you are going to be seeing 12 tags here this week.  I just didn’t feel like making a card and reached for a tag instead.  However, you never know with me . . . because I never know either!

BelieveTagDec4

The tag is covered with different paper designs from My Mind’s Eye Holly Jolly and the border was die cut/embossed with S4-242 Big Scalloped Borderabilities Petite and glue down to the other layers.

The snowman image is from a new set I just received, Darcie’s Simply Charmed Stamp Set.  It was stamped in Jenni Bowlin Chili Powder ink and then die cut/embossed with S4-161 Labels One.  I die cut another layer with Labels One to highlight the snowman image, which was sanded and then inked with Old Paper Distress Inks.

BelieveTagCloseUpSnowflake

The snowflake is made by die cutting/embossing the two smaller shapes in Spellbinders™ S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendant.  The layers were then covered in Ranger Glossy Accents and sprinkled with crystal glitter.  The snowflake held together with some craft wire and a vintage button.

I used one of the coupons from the Holly Jolly paper, inked the edges in Chili Powder and put it in place with a Tim Holtz idea-ology Memo Pin.

The ribbon on the tag is May Arts from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I distressed the Ivory Crochet Lace and Sage Twill with Old Paper Distress Inks.  The red ribbon is actually Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon that I dyed with the Chili Powder ink.  A great way to get matching ribbon for your projects!

Well, that’s all for now!  I’m heading back to the studio to work on a few more projects.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by today!
