Oh my heavens! Y’all really know how to make a gal feel better! I can’t begin to tell each and every one of you who left a comment yesterday or sent an email how much it meant to me. So many of you shared and understood exactly what I have been going through the past year . . . you truly touched me and all I can say is . . . THANK YOU from the very bottom of my little bitty heart!
In between reading your encouraging comments yesterday, I cleaned my bedroom closet, did many loads of laundry and worked on a project for today. I had a great day but I’ve got to tell ya . . . damn my feet, back and legs were killing me last night! I would have gotten in the hot tub, but my blood pressure is high enough without adding to it.
In keeping with my new resolve to be positive and stay motivated, I carried it over with today’s project. Once again, this is a piece that I’ll sit out where I can see it everyday . . .
This project is featured on the Quietfire Creations Blog today, so you’ll have to pop over there to see more photos and details on how it is all put together.
I’m liking these flowers made with watercolor paper so well, that I’m thinking a tutorial might be in order . . . what do ya think? Can you handle a tutorial on these lovelies?
Well that’s it for me . . .
Thanks for stopping by today and truly, truly, truly . . . thank you again for all of your support! (I’d have more smileys to add here . . . but my subscription expired . . . waiting . . .)
Hey every body! As promised the other day, here’s the details on the Moroccan Lantern that I did for the Spellbinders Blog Frenzy.
After I had taken the initial photos for the Blog Frenzy, I found some battery operated lights on clearance . . . So you know I had to try them in the lantern.
Now for the video:
Can you tell I have a love for blues harmonica? There were some of my uncle’s favorites too!
Thanks for stopping by today! I’m still in the last minute crunch for CHA projects . . . only a few more to go . . . spending lots of time in the studio!

Happy Thursday! Boy this week has flown by and I haven’t even realized it. I haven’t felt too great since the doctor on Monday . . . my throat is still somewhat sore and by the time I take enough ibuprofen to help, I’m a little sleepy.
Here’s what has happened. I had an extra uvula kind of. There was something hanging down next to my uvula and they cut it out. I’m still waiting for biopsy results, and once I hear something I’ll know what else is going to happen. I’ve had this thing for sooooo many years that it truly can’t be anything and I’m not even concerned.
So now that the grossness is over, let’s talk about the second Graphic 45 project I had this week. If you visited the Graphic 45 Blog, you’ve already seen it . . . but for those of you who have waited . . .

But there is more! Check out Core’dinations website for the new Cardmaker Series, Kraft-Core and various other wonderful cardstock lines.
The Designers from Spellbinders participating this week are:
made from Core’dinations Core Impressions Graphic 45 Timeless Collection. The piece of cardstock I chose from this collection is sandable core with clocks. I sanded (with the Core’dinations Sand It Gadget) the embossed clock areas to leave the kraft core showing through.
A band was made to go around the box, using a tan paper from the ColorCore Graphic 45 Signature Series that was die cut/embossed with Spellbinders E8-001 Classic Scallop Edgeabilities, and then sponged with a crème colored ink. A strip of Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutant Collection (Mechanical Mind) was attached to the scalloped border.
To decorate the stop of the band, a label was made using the same black cardstock as the box, that was die cut/embossed with Spellbinders S4-308 Labels One SM. Placed on the label are sprockets and gears. Spellbinders Precious Metals Foils were die cut/embossed with S5-048 Sprightly Sprockets and then placed on Want2Scrap Sprightly Sprockets Nestaboard. The foil was then covered with Pitch Black, Gold and Copper Mixatives Alcohol Inks.
The flower embellishment is made from Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutant Collection (Nouvea Artistry) that was die cut/embossed with Spellbinders LF-005 Grand Peony Creations. Before shaping and assembling, each petal of the flower was sponged with crème ink. The leaves were die/cut embossed from Core’dinations Color Core Tank. The leaves were also sponged with crème ink.
When all the pieces are assembled the mini box looks like this:
Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy visiting all the other designers’ blogs during the week!
